The Creative Control crew captured brief interviews and some performance footage from last week’s show. I can’t remember how many times I’ve been a fan of an artist to then be under-impressed by their live show. It was refreshing to see Kendrick add little subtle elements to his set that really enhanced the experience. Always good to feel that raw hip hop energy and people representing the culture from all coast, but the West Side was definitely in the building.

New York’s PS 22 chorus provides back up vocals for Little Dragon. Shout out to the teacher putting the kids up on dope music. Support the arts in public school!

Performed acoustically this song takes on a whole new life. Jules and Katie’s harmonies are so serene.

New N.E.R.D. jam from their new album, Nothing. Produced by Daft Punk. I’m feeling the production.

Clips of my performance at Sixx in Grand Rapids, MI this past Saturday.

A 2010 rendition of “Doo Wop” (That Thing) performed last week at Harmony Festival in California. I feel her channeling her inner Busta with the fast and aggressive flow. Not sure if the crowd was in total awe and shock that she was there or if it the Cali heat made it uncomfortable to move but they didn’t seem interested at all. Her schizo look is still in tact but her stage show seems on point. I hope to catch her soon during this festival season before she goes in hibernation again.

Hit below for the rest of their performance.
