Funny but alarming video on America’s fixation with America. Maybe entertainment’s and the media’s placement of the word ‘America’ has something to do with our lack of interest in other countries needs.

Here are pictures of the first and only skate park in Kitintale, a working class suburb of Kampala in East Africa. The kids of Kitintale were influenced by a game they saw on TV and decided to build a skatepark themselves. With no assistance from government or large NGO’s, kids from Uganda took significant steps to overcome boredom and poverty through skateboarding. By learning how to skate, the kids developped a sense of belonging to a community and realized a dream.
